This holiday is about the continuity of generations. After all, the blood of Ukrainian Cossacks, who have always stood guard over the freedom and liberty of their native land, flows in the Ukrainian heroes of the modern Great War. They defended the people and their native land from the enemy.
This holiday is about the courage of Ukrainian defenders who so bravely stood up to defend their homeland 10 years ago, when the Russian Federation cynically annexed Crimea and parts of Donetsk and Luhansk regions.
This holiday is about the incredible patriotism and professionalism of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the fight against the cruel enemy who waged a great war against us on February 24, 2022, and who outnumbered us in terms of manpower and weapons. Today, our army is defending not only our native land from the Russian invasion; it is defending the entire civilization, preventing the world from plunging into the dark times of dictatorship, wars, and violence.
This holiday is about our faith and spirituality. It is not for nothing that the great Christian holiday, the Intercession of the Theotokos, falls on this day. This day reminds every one of the prayerful intercession of the Mother of God for the human race.
On this day, we wish our defenders courage and fortitude. May the Protection of the Holy Virgin protect each and every defender and give them strength in their holy struggle for the freedom of Ukraine. We give them our love, support, and gratitude.
Dear colleagues! We wish you and your families unbreakable spirit, faith in the Victory, health, and inspiration for all the things that bring our Victory closer! We will definitely stand and win together!
